Synopsis: After a suicide attempt leaves college student Joseph Ainsley suspended between life and death, he finds himself in a surreal bureaucratic office run by Death, an irritated administrator who claims he arrived “early.” As Death reviews his file, Joseph is forced to confront the events leading up to his attempt and the pain he believed no one saw. Death challenges his view, revealing the beauty he dismissed and the unseen impact of his choices. When she discovers he is still in critical condition, Death offers Joseph a rare opportunity to return, but only if he chooses it for himself.
