Why’d You Do It

After making a life-changing decision, a young man finds himself in an odd meeting where he realizes the gravity of his choice. Big decisions have big consequences.

Synopsis: Mr. Ainsley is a young man who, unfortunately just took his own life. After his death, he finds himself in a room with other people waiting to meet with the Administrator. In this universe, a bureaucracy manages people after they die. The Administrator’s job is to review a person’s life and make a recommendation to the Judge as to where to send them. When Mr. Ainsley finally meets the Administrator, they discuss his choice to end his life. The Administrator has strong opinions about people who “skip the line” to meet him before their designated appointment. When he sees Mr. Ainsley’s attempt didn’t completely succeed yet he gives him the opportunity to go back, something he rarely does. The one condition: that Mr. Ainsley tells others about their meeting in order to prevent other suicides. Mr. Ainsley agrees and wakes up in a hospital. When he tells the story of their meeting, the identity of the Administrator is revealed: Death.
